Collaboration manifesto

An invitation to the scientific community

HeliosReflect is a scientific project built through collaboration. This manifesto gathers the principles that guide the research and communication of the project.

Rigour before enthusiasm

Before asserting, we prove. Before building, we validate. The sequence of the project is: mathematics, simulation, experimentation, prototype, scale. No phase is skipped.

Falsifiability

Each hypothesis of the project is formulated so that evidence can confirm or refute it. A project that cannot be wrong is not science.

Transparency about what is not demonstrated

We always distinguish between what is demonstrated, what is partially validated, what is a hypothesis and what is pending experimentation. Honesty about what we do not yet know is a competitive advantage, not a weakness.

Convince without revealing

The vision and development status are public. Complete geometries, algorithms, critical parameters and proprietary mathematics are shared under confidentiality agreements with active collaborators, to protect the value of the knowledge without slowing down science.

Openness to independent validation

We invite universities and research centres to review the proofs, repeat the simulations and, in the future, reproduce the experiments. Independent validation is the best quality control.

Interdisciplinary collaboration

No single person will solve the challenges of the 21st century alone. Mathematicians, physicists, engineers, chemists, ecologists, companies and investors all have a role in this programme.

Commitment

Publish hypotheses, not results; classify every claim by its level of evidence; and keep the Transparency Center updated as research progresses.
