White Paper · Volume I
General project overview
Overview of HeliosReflect: the problem it addresses, the experimental HR-DOC architecture, the application hypotheses and the validation status. Publicly accessible document.
Presentation · HeliosReflect
Institutional executive summary
Executive summary of the project: motivation, HR-DOC conceptual architecture, application hypotheses and roadmap. Downloadable institutional presentation.
Technical volume II
Mathematical and optical foundations
Contains the analytical proof of the composite mapping of two confocal paraboloids, symbolic verification with exact computation, étendue conservation analysis and the thermodynamic concentration limit. Available to scientific collaborators under NDA.
Technical volume III
Simulation and numerical validation
Contains the 200,000-ray Monte Carlo simulation, parametric studies of manufacturing tolerances and model-simulation comparison. Available to scientific collaborators under NDA.
Technical volume IV
Experimental validation programme
Defines the seven laboratory tests of the experimental validation programme: geometric calibration, focus verification, beam characterisation, temporal stability and model-experiment comparison. Available to institutional collaborators under NDA.
200,000-ray Monte Carlo simulation
Numerical validation of HR-DOC
Public summary of the numerical validation: capture above 98 % for the real solar disc, collimation and étendue conservation.
Status of the theoretical validation of HR-DOC
Public technical summary
What has been demonstrated, with which method and what remains pending. The basis of the Transparency Center.
Collaboration manifesto
An invitation to the scientific community
The principles of the project: rigour, falsifiability, transparency about what is not demonstrated and openness to independent validation.
